Charity Work

When Terri Shanks first founded the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants (FPC) in 2011 it was an organisation set up to have strong values and ethics, something which is still equally important to us all today.

A part of this was being able to give back to our wider community and to help those in need.

Each year Terri donates a percentage of new members fees to a nominated charity on behalf of the FPC. Since our formation we have donated more than £25,000, which has been given to the following charities:

✧ 2011: Kids n Cancer U.K (No longer in existence)

✧ 2012: Luke Cory Trust www.lukecorytrust.co.uk

✧ 2013: Grief Encounter  www.griefencounter.org.uk

✧ 2014: Wedding Wishing Well Appeal www.weddingwishingwell.org.uk

✧ 2015: CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) www.c-r-y.org.uk

✧ 2016: Embrace Child Victims of Crime www.embracecvoc.org.uk

✧ 2017: Murdered Abroad www.murdered-abroad.org.uk

✧ 2018: At the end of this year our charity donations will be going to The Albert Kennedy Trust  www.akt.org.uk

Whether you are a searching for wedding, family or funeral celebrants, we’re here to help.

Independent celebrants like ourselves can offer total flexibility and on all occasions will both respect and reflect any religious or spiritual beliefs which you may (or may not) have. The choice to include content such as hymns, prayers, blessings or religious readings is entirely down to you.

Our motto is “Your Voice, Your Choice, Your Ceremony
